What content is available?

INA provides access to over 2 million pages ranging across 23 titles.

Are additional titles going to be added to the archive over time?

Yes INA currently holds microfilm for over 30 titles and these additional titles will be added to the archive over the next year.

Can I print pages from the archive?

Yes if you wish to do so, or you can just print particular stories and/or articles. However all printed pages will have an INA watermark.

Can I sell the material from the archive?

No you can’t, all pages published are subject to copyright laws.

Can I use text from an article or a photo in a project / book / newsletter / website / etc?

Not without permission. Please email your request, including details of the article or photo, date of publication and page number (no attachments) to: info@irishnewspaperarchives.com.

Can I purchase an archival copy of any of the newspapers in the archive?

Yes you can purchase either a front page framed print or a leather bound book of the entire edition by contacting pmartin@memorablemoments.ie.

What are the recommended settings for the archive site?

It is recommended that you have:

  • a broadband internet connection
  • any operating system (PC or Mac)
  • the web browsers Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari installed
  • enabled Default Security, Default Privacy and Cookies in your browser settings
  • ticked 'Disable script debugging' error notifications in your browser (in IE this can be found at: Settings – Control Panel - Internet Options – Advanced)
