The Northern Patriot Owned by Alice L Milligan and Anna Johnson, The Northern Patriot- A volunteer journal was established in 1895 and ran until 1897.

It was a monthly publication issued by the HJ McCracken Literary Society & United Irishmen. The newspaper’s motto was ‘How old is Ireland and how does she stand’. The paper actively advocated separation from England.
