Hello. Do you expect to digitize the Tipperary Vindicator any time in the future? It would be a great addition to your site.

    Hi Blake

We do not currently have any plans to add the Tipp. Vindicator I'm afraid. We are hoping to get a title from every county in Ireland up by the end of 2015 so that is the direction we are going with title selection. Thanks for your question though and let me know if you have anything further.

Any sign of the Sligo Champion or Western People being made available on the site?

Also, how come we can't access either of the Roscommon papers?

Hello. Now that you have the years 2003 and 2004 of the Sunday Independent in the archives available-is there any way that those years can be made available in colour, even if it's from nationalmicroedia website? Let me know thanks

  • Susan

Hello again, any news when Skibbereen Eagle will be online? It only appears when I click on Cork in "publications by county." When I try searching for words like "Cork", "McCarthy", or "Collins" (Time Period: all) nothing appears.

Thanks again for working to put this online.

    Hi JP

Sorry about the delay in coming back to you.

We are currently scanning the Sligo Champion from hard-copy from 1950-2006, We are hoping to have this online by the end of March next year.
The Roscommon papers are only available within the Roscommon branch libraries due to an agreement reached between ourselves and the library.

    Hi Adrian

Unfortunately not we have to scan those editions from the microfilm which means we cannot provide colour scans for this period.

Hi again, Good News on this front we have now added the Skiberreen Eagle to the archives, the below periods are now online.
We are working on locating the missing periods to provide the complete archives although we do not have a fixed date for this yet.

    Hi Mary

Sorry this is a mistake on our part, the Longford Leader is in fact available in the archives once you subscribe.
However it is not included in the Free Search on the homepage, this should be in place on the Free Search by Monday.

  • Pat

It the Clare Champion or the Clare Man in the plans for the archive just wondering would be great to see.

Could you re-instate the facility to do a search on a specific date, or a range between specific dates dd-mm-yyyy instead of what it seems to be at the moment yyyy only, unless i am missing something?
Nice site, I have used it extensively.Looking forward to getting the Dundalk Democrat on board. There are a lot of other Louth papers which would be great to have, but I appreciate you wanting to get a county by county spread.

  • Susan

Thank you for the news Phil.

  • Susan

    Hi Phil,

Based on your comment dated December 5 I again tried searching Skibbereen Eagle. On the home page where it says "Select Newspaper" it is not in the pulldown list. On the menu bar where it says "Coming Soon" it is not listed in "Publication List." The only place I can find it is in "Publications by County."

If I select the Skibbereen Eagle radio button then Search for: Cork Time Period: All It says "We cannot find any pages matching the details entered."

So maybe INA is not quite ready yet. I feel a dog panting for scraps at the dinner table! :)

    Hi Pat

Unfortunately we don't have a date for inclusion of the Clare Champion just yet.
Sorry we cant be more helpful on this front, although the goal is to get a title from every county by the end of 2015.

    Hi Donal

We are hoping to have the full date range functionality in place by the end of December as well as a number of other functionality updates which will be coming over the next few weeks and into the New Year. The Dundalk Democrat is coming very soon you'll be happy to hear.

Any plans for the Leinster Express (Laois) and/or The Nationalist (Carlow with Laois/Kildare editions)?

    Many thanks

    Hi Susan

Sorry about the delay in replying to this comment, I wanted to have something solid before I did, The Skibbereen Eagle is not currently searchable from the Free Search however it is fully functional within in the archive itself, once you have subscribed. Our developers are working to fix the Free Search issue as we speak.

    Hi Pat

The Leinster Express should be online by the June 2014. The Nationalist is on the radar but has not being scheduled for 2014 I'm afraid.

  • Cian

Any plans for the Donegal Democrat (better coverage of the west of the county than the News generally) or the Down Recorder?

We are hoping to include the Donegal Democrat 1919-2002 within the next 18 months, I don't believe it will come online before Jan 2015 however.
